CSPA’s membership year runs from July 1 through June 30. Dues are to be paid before the start of the upcoming membership year. Currently our annual dues are $40 per person. We do not offer family memberships at the present time.

DUES ARE DUE BY JUNE 30th, NOT ON THE ANNIVERSARY OF WHEN YOU JOINED

People sometimes ask, “If I join say in October, do I have to pay for the full year or can I get a prorated / discounted rate?” They also ask, “If I join, say in October, can I wait until my anniversary, the following October, to pay my membership dues? The answer to both questions, unfortunately, is “No.” No, you can’t receive a discounted rate, and no, you can’t wait until the anniversary of when you joined to pay your annual membership dues.

 

We are a small non-profit organization. Given the modest cost of an annual membership, we don’t offer to prorate for people who sign up in say, September or October – with one exception: If you join after December 31st, we will offer you a reduced first year membership rate of $25 good through June 30th,  when your initial membership term expires. Then, upon renewing your membership for the following year (July 1 – June 30) your membership fee will be $40, not $25, since it covers a full 12 months.

 

DO YOU OFFER PARTIAL YEAR MEMBERSHIPS?

Some people are snowbirds, spending the warm weather months in our region and then moving south during the winter months. So, the question sometimes come up, “Do you offer a partial year membership for the time I am living in the Camano Stanwood area?” Unfortunately, we do not offer partial year memberships. We like to think that asking members to pay $40 for rich variety of benefits our members receive is a pretty great deal. Some of your benefits include access many open play and round robin sessions every week, several social events throughout the year, free beginner lessons, several tournaments geared at differing skill levels, free use of our ball machine and much more.

 

EARLY BIRD INCENTIVE

In addition to the prorated / reduced first year membership fee for people who join our club after December 31st, first time members who join our club in April or May can choose to pay the reduced $25 rate for the remainder of their soon-to-be expiring membership year, OR pay the full $40 membership fee and have it extend their membership through June of the following year – meaning they receive extra months (April, May) at no additional cost.

 

WHAT IS YOUR POLICY ABOUT NON-MEMBER VISITORS AND GUESTS?

We often have club members ask if they can invite a guest to join them and if so, is there a fee to bring a non-member? We are a friendly club and we welcome visitors and guests to join us at no cost. Our policy is that visitors, guests, or other non-members can participate in one of our club’s open sessions or round robin events for free, up to a maximum of three times. After that, we ask that they join our club. We use the honor system and trust that our visitors and guests will not abuse this policy.
