If you are a new member to the Camano Stanwood Pickleball Association (CSPA) this page will
help orient you to the many resources available to you for your modest annual membership.
Refer back to this page to guide you to several area of our website and beyond which will help
get you up to speed and hopefully help to welcome you to our wonderful community of Camano
Stanwood pickleballers.
HOW TO KEEP UP TO DATE
A common question we often receive is “how do I find out what’s going on with the club, about
upcoming social events, tournaments, classes, etc.?” There are five main resources in this
regard, so let’s look at them one at a time.
THE CSPA Website: You’re already here. As you will see by scrolling down this page, our
website provides a wealth of information about resources, upcoming events, classes and clinics,
and much more. This WELCOME page is intended to help you locate what’s where on our
website.
Playtime Scheduler: This is a free app you can install on your phone (or bookmark the
Playtime Scheduler site on your laptop). It is the place you go to login in to sign up for most of
our CSPA events, like open play pickleball sessions, Saturday round robin sessions, and
upcoming social events. (More about this below.)
Monthly CSPA Newsletter: When you join, we automatically sign you up to receive our monthly
email CSPA newsletter – unless you opted out when you first registered. If you don’t think you’re
receiving the monthly newsletter, send an email to info@camanopickleball.com and ask them to
add you to our newsletter list. If you wanted to refer back to a past newsletter, we feature
several months of recent CSPA newsletters here.

CSPA’S Facebook page: At our Facebook
page, we post updates for members and
prospective members about the latest club
activities, including upcoming parties, clinics,
tournaments, and more. You need to submit a
request to join our Facebook group. When you
request to join, we will ask you a few easy
questions to help confirm you are who you say
you are and that you’re not a scammer.
CSPA’s What’s App group: Unlike our Facebook page, our What’s App group is available only
to current CSPA members, not the general public. It is a great forum for members to post
questions or comments about anything happening in the club. To join our What’s App group, you
must request an invitation to join. Just email info@camanopickleball.com and ask to join our
group. You will need to provide your name and phone number, and you must already have
What’s App installed on your phone or your laptop.
CONTACT OTHER CSPA MEMBERS: Played with a CSPA club member and you want to
connect with them? In our MEMBERS ONLY section of our website, you will find our club roster,
alphabetized by last name with phone number and email address. Check it out here. (Note: You
must be logged in, in order to view the club roster, or anything else in the MEMBERS section of
our website.)
SIGN UP TO PLAY: We use and app called Playtime
Scheduler (or PTS for short) to sign up for open play
and round robin play, and also for many of our social
events, like our 4 th of July Ice Cream Social.

UNCLEAR HOW OUR ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP WORKS? Some people get confused about
how our membership year works because your membership year does not start when you join.
Our club works on a membership year of July 1 through June 30. Want to know about our guest
policy. All of this and more is explained at our Membership Page here.

SHARPEN YOUR SKILLS: During the good weather months
(generally April – September) we often offer clinics and
classes, depending on your skill level. We also offer FREE
beginner lessons – something very few pickleball clubs
offer. (Most charge a fee.) Learn about our classes and

WANT TO COMPETE? Throughout the year we have several
tournaments, including our biggest tournament of the year,
the Camano Cup. Learn about our classes and clinics here.
WANT TO SOCIALIZE? Our club has several
social events throughout the year including a Donuts, Bagels, and Coffee breakfast event in
June, an Ice Cream Social on the 4 th of July, and a Labor Day Potluck, to name a few. We also
have Ladies’ Night gatherings after a late afternoon day of pickleball, and other fun activities.

LEARN ABOUT OUR COMMITTEES: Our club is 100% volunteer-driven. There are no paid
employees. One of the great things about our club is the volunteer spirit of our members. We
have several committees that keep our club going, including Social & Scheduling, Facilities &
Equipment, Communications, Skills Development, and more. Learn about our committees here..
And if you are interested in possibly learning about how you might be able to contribute on a
particular committee, just email us at info@camanopickleball.com.
LOOK FOR OUR CSPA AMBASSADORS: The next time you’re on the
courts, look for someone wearing a read wristband that reads
“CSPA Ambassador.” We launched this program in summer 2026 to
provide assistance to new members.
